The Role
As Food & Beverage Manager, you will take full responsibility for the smooth and successful running of the Riverside Bar & Restaurant. You will lead, motivate and develop the team, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience while maintaining operational excellence across all areas of the business.
Working closely with senior management and the Head Chef, you will help drive business growth, improve performance, and ensure the venue consistently delivers the highest standards of food, drink and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Riverside Bar & Restaurant
Lead, manage and develop bar and restaurant teams through coaching, recruitment and training
Manage and coordinate events, functions and conference facilities to ensure seamless delivery and exceptional guest experiences
Create staff rotas and ensure the venue is staffed effectively at all times
Deliver exceptional customer service and handle guest feedback and complaints professionally
Work alongside the Head Chef to develop menus and enhance the customer offering
Manage stock control, ordering and supplier relationships with a strong focus on cost control
Monitor sales, stock levels and wastage to maximise profitability
Ensure compliance with all licensing, food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and venue maintenance
Analyse customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance guest satisfaction
Develop business plans and identify opportunities to drive sales and attract new customers
Stay informed on local market trends and competitor activity
About You

You will have:
Significant experience managing a busy food and beverage operation
A proven track record of increasing sales and improving business performance
Strong leadership and team development skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
A hands-on and proactive management style
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
A good understanding of stock management and cost control
Experience implementing health & safety procedures and compliance standards
A current liquor licence
A food hygiene qualification (Intermediate level preferred)
