This permanent, full-time role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, resilient, and dedicated to helping young learners flourish academically and personally.
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will play a key role in supporting teachers and students within the classroom. You’ll work with individuals and small groups to boost confidence, assist with lesson tasks, and help meet a range of educational needs, creating a safe and positive learning environment for all.
Responsibilities of an LSA:
* Provide targeted support to students under the guidance of the class teacher.
* Assist pupils with their academic progress through tailored interventions and classroom tasks.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a calm, productive learning space.
* Monitor and record student development and contribute to reports and reviews.
* Encourage and support inclusion for all learners, adapting tasks where necessary.
* Contribute to the planning and delivery of activities and learning experiences.
* Foster strong, respectful relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
Learning Support Assistant Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children in a school setting as a Learning Support Assistant is essential.
* CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare
* A degree in Education, Psychology or a similar field.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed.
* A caring and patient attitude with a genuine desire to help pupils succeed.
