Overview
As an Aircraft Fitter you will be responsible for Maintenance, Repairs and Modifications to the aircraft. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Responsible for the maintenance of the aircraft and safe use of ground equipment
* Can accurately navigate and interpret aircraft maintenance documentation.
* Carry out aircraft modifications and light structural work if required.
* Compliance with the organisational policies and procedures detailed in the company's MOE and supporting manuals
* Identifying and rectifying existing and potential unsafe conditions
* Maintaining the work environment in a clean and safe manner using a "clean as you go" approach
* Complying with company Safety Management System (SMS) occurrence reporting procedures
* Complying with the AAG DS safety policy
* Complete aircraft paperwork to a high standard
* An awareness of COSHH, Working at height and Manual handling safety requirements
* Actively embrace a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture
Candidate Requirements
* Must currently have eligibility to live and work in the UK, unfortunately sponsorship cannot currently be offered.
* Must hold a valid aircraft standards-based qualification (Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3) or aircraft related academic qualification/traineeship with a minimum 3 years recorded experience or be able to satisfy the Training / Maintenance management team.
* Current Human factor initial and refresher, EWIS and SFAR 88 certificate
* Knowledge of aeronautical regulations
* Must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom
* Fluency in English, both written and verbal
* Be able to successful complete MOD security clearance
Desirable Criteria
* Experience on A400M, Airbus, Propeller or Wide body Aircraft
* Previous exposure to (email address removed) and Amos
* Knowledge of Military Aviation Authority (MAA) MRP Part 145 regulations
* Have good communication skills, both verbally and written, and interpersonal skills
* A proven ability to work as part of a team
* Be able to work on their own initiative and demonstrate leadership skills
* Possess proficient organisational skills and an ability to work in an efficient manner
* IPAF/MEWP familiarisation
Typical Working Conditions
* Primarily based in Brize Norton however travel may be required
* Shift will be 5,5,4-day shift
