At FloPlast Ltd we design and manufacture a range of specialist plastic building and plumbing systems used widely in UK construction industry.
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for monitoring product quality and assisting in maintaining the Company's Quality System.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday on a rotational 3 shift basis with a daily paid break of 30 minutes, divided into one 10-minute break and one 20-minute break. Shifts are as follows:
7am to 3pm / 3pm to 11pm / 11pm to 7am
Hourly rate of £14.33 increasing to £14.67 upon successful completion of a 6-month probationary period (inclusive of a rotational shift premium).
Key Responsibilities and Duties
The responsibilities and main duties for this position include, but are not limited to:-
* To undertake and record production inspection in the manufacturing unit to maintain the Company's product quality. This includes start-ups, in process inspection and last offs in accordance with ISO9001 procedures.
* To monitor and check products being assembled and bar coded on the Company's automatic assembly machines as well as manually.
* To undertake perpetual stock checks of product leaving production for the stores.
* To collect and report production scrap on a shift basis.
* To assist in the Goods Inwards activities and provide cover if and when necessary.
* To assist with the inspection of export orders prior to despatch.
* To undertake testing of products as and when required for production, for batch release of bought in products and when assisting the Quality Manager in the development of new products.
* To assist in maintaining the Company's Product Specification Sheets within the Company Business System.
* To assist in entering data in the Company's Quality Management System.
* To assist the Quality and QUESH Managers in maintaining and operating the Company's Health and Safety and Environmental procedures.

Previous experience in manufacturing or quality would be advantageous but is not essential as full training is given.
