St Philomena's Convent is a community of Sisters. Working as part of a team and covering a 24/7 rota you will deliver person centered care in the Convent and ensure that a compassionate and quality service is provided to the Sisters. Whilst ensuring their dignity is respected, you will enable Sisters to remain as independent as possible and assist them to remain an active part of their community.
Overview:
Night Care Assistant (36pw covering a 24/7 rota) 52 weeks per year excluding holidays.
2 x 24 hours per week (2 x 12 hour shifts)
This role will be subject to a suitable DBS check, 2 satisfactory references and the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately the salary for this post does not support the sponsorship of overseas workers.

Duties:
* Assist sisters with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support sisters with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of care plans and report any changes in sisters' conditions to the relevant colleagues.
* Engage sisters in social activities and encourage participation to foster a sense of community.
* Communicate effectively with sisters and colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised environment.
You will have:
* Minimum of Level 2 NCFE or QCF qualification in Health and Social Care (or willing to work towards it)
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting.
* Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with sisters and colleagues.
* Basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining care plans and documentation.
* A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to delivering person centred care is essential.
