The successful candidate will be part of the General Surgery Service Delivery Unit, which adopts a firm-based approach. There is a good deal of flexibility and excellent working relationships between firms.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
14. MB ChB or equivalent
15. MRCS/FRCS
16. ATLS
17. Completion of Foundation Year 1-2 equivalent
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
18. Experience at Senior CT level of General Surgery in relevant specialties
19. Ability to manage surgical patients as the senior surgical opinion on site
20. Clinical and technical skills appropriate to the grade
21. Can provide evidence of a recent audit
22. Good grasp of audit methodology and practice
23. Good knowledge of Clinical Governance
24. Previous NHS Clinical Experience at a minimum of Foundation Level
Desirable criteria
25. Special clinical interest in breast / GI
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Essential criteria
26. Full GMC Registration with Licence to practice in the UK
27. Ability to travel across multiple Hospital sites
Desirable criteria
28. Holder of a UK drivers license and own access to car
