This is a key leadership role where you’ll oversee a dedicated engineering team and ensure that all machinery, equipment, and planned projects run like clockwork.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the engineering team, supporting both personal growth and operational excellence
* Oversee day‑to‑day maintenance activities across the site
* Implement and manage the site’s planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme
* Drive continuous improvement projects designed to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety
* Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and support smooth operations
* Manage engineering budgets, contractors, and spare‑parts strategies
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety standards and company procedures
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in engineering leadership or management
* Strong background in electrical or mechanical maintenance within agriculture, food production, or manufacturing
* Ability to motivate and develop a team while fostering a positive, high‑performance culture
* Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
* A proactive mindset with a passion for improvement and problem‑solving
* Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or above, HNC/HND preferred)
