Staff Match are recruiting for a hands‑on Nursery Manager to join a well‑established nursery in Colchester, Essex. The ideal candidate must have experience of managing Ofsted Good or Outstanding settings. Person Specification
* NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent
* Experience of leading and motivating teams
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
* Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
* Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
Nursery Manager Responsibilities
* To work closely with the nursery directors and strive to deliver outstanding care and education
* To manage occupancy and parent show arounds
* To prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections
* To ensure all staff understand and comply with all nursery policy and procedures
* To coach, mentor and lead the nursery staff team with emphasis on promoting good practice in all areas of nursery operations
* To ensure EYFS curriculum is effectively embedded in practice
* To carry our regular staff supervisions and appraisals, identify training needs
* To effectively plan staff rota s and ensure correct adult/child ratios are maintained
* To ensure children s observations, assessment and development records are maintained
* To promote diversity and equal opportunity
* To work in partnership with parents forming caring and trusting relationships
* To manage staff meetings, nursery open days and parents evenings
