For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible Registered Nurses with 1-2 years of RN experience and $20,000 for those with more than 2 years of RN experience!
* Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part-time RN position. Bonus is prorated for Part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.
* Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months after separation.
Maine Medical Center - Portland is seeking a Lactation Consultant - RN (IBCLC) to join our team. The role may cover core Lactation areas, including Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Continuing Care Nursery Lactation coverage.
Summary:
The Registered Nurse - Lactation Consultant provides breastfeeding support and education for patients and families. This role develops and maintains the nursing mother support service for inpatients and outpatients, utilizing evidence-based interventions to promote optimal infant nutrition.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
* Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
* License/Certifications: Current Maine RN license required; IBCLC certification required; BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of start date.
* Experience: Experience with childbearing families or maternal health nursing required; 2500 hours of patient/client education as directed by IBCLC required.
