Description
* Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients and ensuring compliance with HMRC and in-house deadlines
* Preparing and processing tax returns and P11Ds from information provided
* Calculation and advice of liabilities, together with due dates of payment to client
* Assisting with client queries and providing ad hoc advice where requested
* Billing personal portfolio clients after work completed
* Dealing with correspondence, telephone calls and arranging and attending meetings with clients and potential clients
* Assisting partners and staff members with technical queries
* Providing assistance to junior members of the team where appropriate
* Assisting in the preparation of technical reports in relation to income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
* Dealing with HMRC correspondence, telephone calls and enquiries
* General support to the tax team as required
Profile
A Successful Private Client Tax Senior Should Have
* A strong foundation in private client tax, with relevant professional qualifications (ATT etc.)
* Experience working within an accountancy practice setting.
* Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
* The ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly and effectively to clients.
* Experience of preparing accounts is desirable.
