Job Description
As Financial Controller you will be responsible for:
3. Leading the Carlisle Finance function
4. Shape financial strategy in collaboration with Group Finance and the leadership team.
5. Foster a culture of financial control, customer focus, and continuous improvement across all sub‑functions.
6. Ensure clear accountability and segregation of duties across the team.
7. Own month‑end close, ledger integrity, balance sheet controls, and reconciliations.
8. Oversee accurate fee income recognition.
9. Deliver timely, accurate management accounts with meaningful analysis and insight.
10. Own local budgeting and forecasting activity, working closely with Group.
11. Deliver all statutory financial statements for Carlisle entities.
12. Manage the year‑end audit process, ensuring clean audits and efficient engagement with external auditors.
13. Maintain robust documentation of key finance processes and controls.
14. Lead, develop and mentor a multi‑disciplinary Finance team.
15. Set objectives, support professional development, and build succession capability.
16. Promote a high‑performance, collaborative culture with clear accountability.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Controller should have:
17. A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
18. Proven experience in managing accounting and finance & consultancy functions.
19. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
20. Proficiency in financial software and systems.
21. The ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
