As an Assembly Mechanical Fitter, your key duties will include: Reading and working from technical engineering drawings Assembling bespoke mechanical components and machine sections Building and installing pneumatic and general pipework systems Checking parts against bill of materials (BOMs) for accuracy and condition Carrying out quality inspections to ensure assemblies meet required tolerances Handling and moving large components using lifting equipment and overhead cranes Ensuring all work is completed within production timescales Following health & safety procedures and company processes at all times The successful Assembly Mechanical Fitter will have the following attributes: Completed a Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship / NVQ (or equivalent) Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar mechanical fitting role Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience working with large assemblies and tight tolerances Confident using a wide range of hand and air tools Understanding of health & safety and quality standards Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Good attention to detail and ability to meet production deadlines Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces MIG welding experience Benefits: Opportunity to work for a highly reputable engineering xxuwjjq manufacturer Exposure to bespoke, high-quality machinery builds Strong opportunity for long-term career development Supportive team environment with a focus on quality and safety ATA is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
