Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Buying Assistant, based in Ilkeston. The Buying Assistant will support the purchasing team by managing purchasing processes, handling purchase orders, and ensuring efficient procurement operations. Additional responsibilities include conducting market research, analyzing supplier offers, maintaining vendor relationships, and providing administrative support to ensure a seamless supply chain process.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Purchasing Processes and experience managing Purchase Orders
Proficiency in Purchasing and Analytical Skills to ensure effective decision-making
Excellent Communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams
Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines
Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in procurement and supply chain management
Previous experience in a similar role within the construction or engineering sectors is a plus
Relevant certifications or qualifications in procurement, supply chain, or a related field are advantageous
