Tetra Tech is looking for a Principal Security Consultant to join our leading security team. The role offers opportunities to work across sectors with a team of professionally registered security professionals. The team works on prestigious built environment projects, delivering security strategies and technical designs to support clients. They have an established customer base representing security challenges across the UK.
Role responsibilities
* Manage the allocation of resources to tasks/projects.
* Act as point of escalation for clients.
* Lead the coordination of day-to-day operational delivery across projects including overseeing accurate maintenance of project information.
* Lead development and quality assurance of security risk management requirements in line with industry best practice and company standards.
* Work alongside senior stakeholders across multi-discipline teams.
* Deliver excellent service to clients, ensuring consistency across the team.
* Support the development of junior colleagues.
About You / Qualifications
* A good understanding, and demonstrable experience of security risk management within the built environment.
* Experience delivering security projects within the built environment, including experience in a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment.
* Relevant education in security or related built environment discipline.
* Understanding of security risk management principles, policies, and procedures.
* Experience with current industry initiatives such as SABRE, Secured by Design, and security research, technology & innovation.
* Significant experience in producing technical reports, threat and risk assessments, and operational requirements and specifications aligned with RIBA Plan of Work stages.
* Ability to engage with clients to establish clear security briefs and technology requirements.
* Understanding of the risk management process aligned to ISO 31000.
* Ability to manage and prioritise the workload of a project team including delegation and QA of tasks and deliverables.
* Experience of security philosophies and strategies such as 'defence in depth', layered approach, and CPTED.
* Excellent command of written and spoken English; ability to communicate clearly at all levels, internally and externally.
* Understanding of electronic security systems, physical security design, and security operations within the built environment (one discipline may be stronger/preferred).
* Able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) before appointment; UKSV SC and DV clearance will be required.
* Must be a sole UK National.
* Willingness to travel across the UK when required.
* Willing to be in the office or project sites up to 3 days a week as part of a hybrid working model.
