Position: Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Warrington
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary
Start Date: Immediate
A welcoming primary school in Warrington is looking for a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide full-time support, with a strong focus on pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Duties
* Deliver 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils with SEN/SEMH access learning and develop social and emotional skills.
* Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to plan and run targeted interventions.
* Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing in a safe, inclusive environment.
* Assist with classroom preparation, resource organisation and pupil supervision.
What We’re Looking For
* Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or recognised equivalent).
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
* Experience supporting primary-aged children, ideally with SEN or SEMH needs.
* Flexible, patient and passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
* Good knowledge of safeguarding and commitment to pupil welfare.
