The postholder will lead and manage the business partnering team for a defined set of Council services providing full financial support. Line management responsibilities of 3-6 FTE posts. Main Responsibilities
* Budget monitoring and forecasting
* Technical finance advice on specialist areas (e.g. Schools, Capital, Grants, HRA).
* Provision of accurate and timely reports on relevant financial issues and performance.
* Providing data analysis and options appraisal to enable financially sound and informed decision making.
* Budget setting and financial planning.
* Year-end processes including providing specified notes to the accounts and audit evidence.
* Staying informed of financial regulations and legalities relevant to the service area and Public Sector Finance.
CandidateCriteria
1. Qualified CCAB/CIMA Accountant with extensive experience
