EMS / SCADA Simulation Engineer
Join a team developing and maintaining real-time simulation systems that help operators train and prepare for power network events.
What you’ll do
* Administer and optimise Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS) applications
* Configure simulated RTUs, IEDs and consoles for operator training
* Validate network models and maintain system accuracy
* Implement and test fixes or enhancements to live EMS/DTS systems
* Support control centre operations teams with technical troubleshooting
What you’ll bring
* 5+ years’ experience in EMS or DTS environments (GE XA21, OSI, Siemens, ABB or similar)
* Understanding of Power System Applications such as Power Flow, State Estimation and Contingency Analysis
* Proficiency in scripting or programming (C, C++, SQL, Shell, Perl)
* Familiarity with communication protocols (ICCP, DNP3, IEC, Modbus)
* Comfortable working across Linux and Windows environments
* Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting ability
