We're on the lookout for a versatile and highly organised Production & Design Specialist to join our small, dynamic team in St George Bristol. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with a meticulous eye for detail and the technical skills to bring designs from concept to completion. You'll play a crucial role in our production process, from initial design creation and pre‑press to hands‑on sign manufacturing and installation. You’ll communicate with other team members to produce solutions that exceed customer expectations. The successful candidate will have experience of using a large format printer, plotter and laminator as well as being skilled in the use of the Adobe suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience with wrapping architectural vinyl would be an advantage. The salary offered will depend on your range of experience.
Main Responsibilities:
Design and Pre-Press
* Use your creativity to develop original branding and messaging where clients don't have existing guidelines.
* Use the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of tools to create artwork or amend customer artwork.
* Interpret client briefs and adapt designs to meet their specific needs and existing brand guidelines.
* Set up artwork for print and production, ensuring accuracy and quality.
* Produce finished signs from a variety of materials.
Production
* Operate machines such as large format printer, laminator, track saw and other tools.
* Cut substrates accurately.
* Order and store materials.
* Pack and deliver signs.
* Maintain a clean and tidy production environment.
* Instal signs and graphics at customers premises.
* Vinyl application including vehicle, window and wall graphics.
Skills / Experience:
* At least 3 years’ experience in sign making.
* Full clean driving licence.
* Fluency with Adobe Software (Illustrator and Photoshop).
* Time management and prioritising workflow.
* Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and customers.
