Your new role As the Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of financial operations and reporting. Your key duties will include: Overseeing daily finance functions including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and general ledger maintenance. Preparing monthly financial reports and presenting insights to the owner. Leading the budgeting and forecasting process, and developing financial plans. Conducting performance monitoring and variance analysis. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls. Coordinating audits and liaising with external advisors, auditors, and financial institutions. Supporting strategic decisions through financial modelling and scenario planning. Enhancing financial systems, policies, and procedures for improved efficiency. Managing credit card reconciliations and related analysis. Delivering ad hoc financial projects as required by the owner. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you should bring: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role. Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. Proficiency in Sage 50 or equivalent financial software. Excellent analytical and communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. A flexible, proactive attitude with a strategic mindset. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
