We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial properties.
Responsibilities
* Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and tiles.
* Repair damaged roofs by replacing or repairing shingles, flashing, or other components.
* Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine job specifications.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for roofing tasks.
* Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation and repair processes.
* Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and plumbers to ensure project completion.
* Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or necessary maintenance.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is essential.
* Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
* Strong skills in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and general construction practices.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 kg) as required by the job demands.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
