What the Job Involves As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for completing assessments, planning, delivering, and reviewing interventions to safeguard and protect vulnerable children. You will manage and supervise a caseload of foster carers, ensuring safe and high-quality placements for cared-for children. The role involves operating within council policies, legislation, and procedures, taking timely actions to assess needs, and minimizing risks to children. You will also be tasked with writing reports, convening meetings, contributing to service delivery development, and maintaining accurate electronic records.
