Year 3 General Teaching Assistant – Maternity Cover
Location: FY4 Area, Blackpool
Start Date: June 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
Contract Length: Maternity Cover (until at least Spring 2026)
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a warm and welcoming primary school in the FY4 area of Blackpool to recruit a dedicated Year 3 General Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting pupils' learning and development in Key Stage 2.
About the Role:
* Supporting a Year 3 class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
* Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning
* Supporting pupils with a range of abilities, including those with additional needs
* Assisting with classroom management and resource preparation
* Full-time hours (Monday to Friday), term time only
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Recent experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in a classroom setting
* A genuine passion for education and child development
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable
* A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
