Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Development Nurse within our Practice Development Team based at Practice Development Unit, Park Ward, Ailsa Hospital, Ayr.
What you will do:
As a Practice Development Nurse, you will:
* Facilitate reflective practice, coaching, and mentoring to enhance patient care.
* Lead and support education and training programmes across clinical disciplines.
* Drive innovation and evidence-based practice aligned with national standards.
* Collaborate with senior nurses, operational managers, and academic institutions.
* Support the induction and continued development of Nursing and Healthcare Support Worker staff
* Contribute to the delivery of Safe, Effective and Person-Centred Care

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
We’re seeking a registered nurse with:
* NMC registration educated to degree level or above.
* A postgraduate qualification in education or training (or equivalent demonstratable experience).
* Significant clinical experience and a passion for professional and practice development.
* Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills.
* An understanding of clinical governance, audit, and national healthcare standards.

Hours:
37 hours per week – Monday to Friday
This post is offered on a permanent basis.
Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
This role is Pan Ayrshire and will require travel to all NHS Ayrshire and Arran sites.
