3 Point Recruitment are recruiting an Accounts Assistant for our very well established & ever growing client based in Rugby.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid accounts experience who’s looking for a varied, hands on role within a supportive and fast paced environment. This position will involve supporting the finance function across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, along with assisting during month-end and providing general administrative support where needed.
Duties Will Include
* Raising and issuing customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
* Monitoring incoming payments and proactively following up on outstanding balances
* Handling customer and supplier queries, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently
* Processing supplier invoices, including coding and securing appropriate approvals
* Preparing payment runs and ensuring suppliers are paid within agreed terms
* Reconciling supplier statements and investigating any discrepancies
* Assisting with month-end processes to ensure deadlines are met
* Supporting balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
* Preparing and posting accruals and prepayments where required
* Maintaining organised and up to date accounting records and documentation
* Providing general administrative and ad hoc support to the finance team
* Contributing to process improvements to enhance efficiency within the department
About You
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
* Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
* Experience using Xero would be a really big advantage!
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Able to work independently and manage your own workload effectively
* Reliable, proactive and comfortable working in a busy environment
The role offers a salary of £28-32k with interviews taking place ASAP!
