Senior Finance Business Partner

As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Senior Finance Business Partner to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.
About the Role:
The Supply Chain Finance Business Partner acts as a strategic liaison between Finance and operational teams across logistics and supply chain. The role translates financial data into actionable insights, supports senior decision-making, owns Supply Chain P&L performance, and drives cost efficiency and value creation across complex, fast-paced operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Own the Supply Chain P&L, delivering weekly flash reports, monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and inventory reporting.
2. Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including financial reviews with third-party logistics partners.
3. Partner with senior operational leaders to evaluate investment proposals, productivity initiatives, and capital expenditure, tracking ROI and savings delivery.
4. Develop, monitor, and report on key cost and performance KPIs such as cost per unit, warehousing efficiency, transport efficiency, and stock write-offs.
5. Provide clear commercial insight by interpreting complex operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
6. Ensure strong financial governance, control, and adherence to Group financial policies.
7. Support robust business case development through detailed data analysis and complex ROI modelling.
Person Specification:
8. Qualified accountant (or equivalent experience) with strong commercial finance capability.
9. Demonstrable experience operating in a fast-paced logistics, supply chain, or FMCG environment.
10. Proven experience managing large-scale budgets (in excess of £100m per annum), including both in-house and third-party service models.
11. Comfortable operating within a non-hierarchical business, with the credibility to influence and challenge at all levels.
12. Highly collaborative, innovative, and commercially minded, with strong business acumen.
13. Advanced Excel and Power BI skills; experience with ERP or WMS systems (e.g. Blue Yonder) is desirable.
14. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate financial concepts for non-finance audiences.

Position: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:45am – 17:30pm.
