Summary / Objective
Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper bottler founded in Birmingham, AL more than 123 years ago. The Forklift Operator Replenishment will primarily operate a sit-down forklift and stock the sourcing/picking locations of the Vertique Towers (HQS/SAW lanes) with products from backstock locations, ensuring the continuous flow of products from the towers.
Essential Functions

* Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. Requires working all hours necessary to fulfill operations, including nights, weekends, holidays.
* Perform pre-trip inspection on all power equipment used through InfoLink system.
* Operate a sit-down forklift to move products safely and efficiently.
* Follow all driving rules and maintain awareness of surroundings.
* Report any equipment malfunction or accidents/incidents to a manager.
* Identify and source products from backstock locations using electronic devices (tablets, cell phones, RF scanners) to process moves.
* Rotate stock according to FEFO and Location Base Inventory (LBI) processes.
* Move correct product from backstock to Vertique Towers picking locations promptly.
* Handle packaged product properly to prevent damage.
* Communicate with Lead/Supervisor, warehouse pickers, and system operators via radio regarding lane status, product needs, empty pallets, and damages.
* Identify needs and assist other areas when appropriate.
* Collect and move empty pallets to designated areas and organize by type.
* Move damaged product to the recycling area.
* Maintain clean equipment and work area; mop spills as needed to keep floors clean and dry.
* Use proper lifting techniques and follow safety practices.
* Make sound decisions and multitask with minimal supervision.
* Adhere to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
* Follow GMPs per CFR 21 CFR 110 and participate in related food safety training; report potential food safety issues.
* Other assigned duties as needed.

* Push/Pull: 12 lbs or less (F), 13-25 lbs (O), 26-40 lbs (N), 41-100 lbs (N)
* Other physical requirements: ability to lift up to 30 lbs repeatedly, move pallets up to 65 lbs, and work in PPE; vision and hearing requirements; central hub presence in Vertique system.
Required Education and Experience
* Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
* Experience: At least 1 year in a warehouse environment; forklift operation experience required.
* RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems experience preferred.
* Skills: Ability to read packaging, communicate via radio in English, pass forklift certification, basic math, and use Warehouse Management Systems.
