The Alchemist is a creative cocktail bar and restaurant concept with venues across the UK and Europe. Known for our theatrical cocktails that change colour, flavour, and even disappear. Creating an immersive and unique experience for our guests is at the core of our brand.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Reservations Executive to temporarily join our team, based in our Head Office in Handforth Cheshire. Your responsibility will be to handle reservation enquiries, convert leads into confirmed bookings, and contribute to the overall sales growth of The Alchemist.

You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with potential returning guests, maximising covers, and ensuring a smooth and efficient reservation process.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Previous experience within the hospitality industry, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools to track leads, activities, and customer interactions.
* Flexibility to work Saturday's once or twice a month.

Responsibilities:

Reservation Management

Handle all incoming reservation inquiries through various channels (phone, email, online platforms).

Assist guests in selecting suitable options based on their preferences, party size, and specific requirements.

Provide accurate information about availability, menus, promotions, and any other relevant details.

Utilise a reservation management system to maintain an organised database of reservations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of updates.

Sales Conversion

Proactively engage with potential customers to understand their needs and preferences.

Effectively communicate the value proposition of our bar and restaurant, highlighting unique offerings and advantages.

Persuasively present the benefits of booking with us, including special promotions, events, and personalized experiences.

Employ sales techniques and persuasive strategies to convert leads into confirmed reservations, achieving individual and team sales targets.

Customer Relationship Building

Foster positive and professional relationships with guests, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.

Maintain ongoing communication with customers, providing updates, answering queries, and addressing concerns promptly.

Act as a brand ambassador, creating a memorable and personalized experience for every guest.

Collaboration

Collaborate closely with the marketing and events teams to promote reservations, increase brand awareness, and drive sales.

Provide valuable feedback and insights based on customer interactions to optimize sales strategies, promotions, and customer experience.

Coordinate with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of reservations and smooth transitions between shifts.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.

Strong sales and customer service skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence customers effectively.

Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in using reservation management systems and other relevant software applications.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business.
