Maths Teacher
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Start: September 2026 (or sooner if available)
Contract: Permanent, full time
Salary: MPS to UPS
A secondary school in the Maidstone area is looking for a Maths Teacher to join from September. This is a full time, permanent role in a department that is settled, well organised and easy to work in.
You will be teaching Maths across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the option of Key Stage 5 if that’s something you want. The schemes of work are already in place, resources are shared and there’s a clear approach across the department, so you’re not starting from scratch.
The job
• Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4
• Preparing students for GCSE Maths
• Working within a team that plans together and shares resources
• Keeping lessons structured, clear and purposeful
• Supporting students to build confidence as well as understanding
What they’re looking for
• Qualified Maths Teacher with QTS
• Someone who can explain things clearly without overcomplicating
• A teacher who keeps standards high but relationships positive
• Comfortable working as part of a team rather than in isolation
Why this one is worth a look
It’s a school where things run as they should. Behaviour is manageable, expectations are clear and the Maths department works together. You’re supported, but also trusted to just get on with teaching.
Maidstone is also an easy place to work from. Good links into London, plenty nearby if you want to stay local, and not the daily grind of central London travel
