We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our team at a local school in Heysham. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for early childhood education and is committed to helping young learners thrive in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the EYFS team to support the delivery of the curriculum and ensure a safe and stimulating environment for children.
* Assist in planning and preparing activities that promote children's learning and development.
* Support the assessment of children’s progress and contribute to the observation and record-keeping processes.
* Engage with children in activities that encourage their cognitive, emotional, and social development.
* Implement continuous provision methods effectively to enhance learning.
* Use ICT tools efficiently to record and monitor children’s progress.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Level 3 qualification in a relevant field preferred; Level 2 qualifications also considered.
* Experience working in an EYFS setting, particularly within a reception class, is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and development matters.
* Ability to use ICT effectively for record-keeping and monitoring progress.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
