Job Title: Teaching and Learning Assistant, Fixed term for 12 months Grade: L4. Point 4-7 Hours of work: 32.5 hours per week. Monday-Friday, Term Time. The governors of Abbey Hulton Primary, which is part of the Orchard Community Trust, are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teaching and learning assistant to support a pupil with an EHCP, alongside other TA responsibilities, from September 2025. Have knowledge and understanding of primary pedagogy and child development Be an excellent classroom practitioner, supporting the teacher in the delivery of learning activities Be passionate about inclusion Be committed to working as part of a team Have a positive attitude and a flexible approach Have high expectations for themselves and the children in their care Be highly motivated, enthusiastic and inspire children to do their best Have a caring and friendly personality with a commitment to the happiness, well-being and progress of all at Abbey Hulton Primary. This role includes responsibilities for: Providing classroom cover of up to 3 days during any short-term absence Providing learning activities for individuals, groups and whole classes under the professional direction of a qualified teacher. Adapting learning programmes to suit the needs of pupils. Assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment of pupils as agreed with the teacher. Support pupils in social and emotional well-being.
