Role: Part Time Payroll Assistant (25 hours)
Location: Leeds, LS15 8GB (with hybrid working after completion of training)
Salary: £17,320 - £19,995 per annum, DOE, plus extensive benefits

We are the nation’s largest online pharmacy, with 25 years of experience supporting over 1.6 million patients in England. We are seeking a Part‑Time Payroll Assistant to support our Payroll Manager with accurate payroll processing. Experience with Sage 50 is preferred but not essential.

What you’ll be doing
* Assist the Payroll Manager with monthly payroll processing
* Process new starters, leavers and amendments to pay (e.g., salary changes, bonuses)
* Ensure statutory deductions (PAYE, National Insurance, pension contributions) are correctly processed
* Maintain up‑to‑date records of hours, overtime, sick leave, holiday leave and absences
* Maintain mileage and subscription claim records
* Respond to employee payroll‑related queries under the guidance of the Payroll Manager
* Support year‑end processing (P60s, P11Ds, etc.) and other ad‑hoc tasks
* Assist with preparation and submission of payroll reports to HMRC
* Handle payroll data confidentially in compliance with GDPR
Who we’re looking for
* Experience in payroll processing, ideally Sage 50 or similar payroll software
* Understanding of payroll legislation and statutory requirements
* High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
* Strong communication skills, able to handle employee queries effectively
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other office tools
* Ability to manage time efficiently and meet processing deadlines
* Proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team
* Basic understanding of payroll-related legislation and compliance requirements
* CIPP qualification or working towards payroll-related certifications is a plus
