Job Summary
A brand new opportunity has been created within the Quality Assurance Department of our thriving facilities in East Cowes.
The Quality Assurance Project Manager will act as business partner and Subject Matter Expert to the site manufacturing process managers and leadership in the use of our quality management software system, TipQA. They will be responsible for assuring and improving the manufacturing processes and product/service quality performance through the continued monitoring and use of TipQA, as well as supporting the continued compliance to AS9100, Part 145, 21G & ISO 17025 regulations, including implementation, maintenance and improvement of the Safety Management Systems.
Job Responsibilities
Full job description available upon request, however main responsibilitues will include:
1. Be the Company point of contact with the TipQA software suppliers;
2. Project Management of the TipQA database updates as released by the supplier company (including testing, incorporation and re-training as required);
3. The Project Management of the incorporation of future versions of TipQA software system as provided by the supplier company to the site. (i.e. cloud-based version) within the Cowes programs (including testing, incorporation and re-training as required);
4. The initial assessment and project management for the introduction of an electronic work card capability (TipQA or suitable software alternative);
5. Contribute to the identification and assessment of proposed new/revised software for the site as part of the IT steering Committee;
6. Provide general assistance to the Quality Department. i.e. Providing additional auditing and corrective actions resource as required;
7. General Management of the TipQA database records;
8. Provide suitable and effective training in the use of TipQA;
9. Prepare and deliver BMS and Quality Culture training to Production and supporting departments personnel;
10. To provide Internal (1st Party) audit capability for the assessment of the manufacturing processes and products/services, ensuring process compliance, robustness and effectiveness.
Job Qualifications
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate:
11. Experience in a volume manufacturing environment, preferably Aerospace
12. Experience of working in Quality Assurance system compliance or Lead auditing role.
13. Experience with TipQa or other similar QMS software systems.
14. Knowledge of regulatory requirements especially AS9100, ISO9001 and CAA/EASA part 21 and 145.
15. Experience in the use of quality tools and continuous improvement techniques.
16. Good people skills.
17. Good written, verbal and presentation skills
18. Good organisational and follow-up skills.
19. Excellent Microsoft office skills.
20. Competent in problem solving, planning and decision making.
21. Commercially aware
22. Relevant IT/software training or software related apprenticeship OR suitable previous experience in a similar role with a similar sized organisation;
23. Recognised and current lead auditor training qualification.
24. Relevant manufacturing/engineering/quality knowledge is preferred.
