This role requires a team player with flair and commercial ability, and the skill, energy and determination to help drive and develop the business alongside the General Manager. We are looking for a manager with experience of maintaining and developing the standards and reputation, whilst nurturing a growing membership base and team.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the operational running of the gym at all times.
* Opening and closing site when required due to operational hours of the business.
* Work early in the morning, late weekdays, and weekends as needed.
* Ensure that all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
* Adhere to and maintain the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
* Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks.
* Report and chase all defects to ensure the building and its equipment are safe to use.
* Work towards and aim to achieve all sales and membership targets set.
* Drive and maximise secondary spend revenue.
* Ensure the whole gym facility is of the highest standard of cleanliness and maintain outside of contract cleaning hours.
* Ensure in-house cleaners (General Assistant) are cleaning to the highest standard.
* Ensure uniform standards are being adhered to by all team members and yourself.
* Always deliver outstanding member service and create an environment where the team and contracted personnel enjoy themselves whilst at work.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties, projects, meetings as required.
* Always be an ambassador of JD Gyms.
Skills and Experience
* Experience, ideally in a management position within a leisure related industry.
* Passionate about customer service and an inspirational leader in management.
* Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
* Experience in driving sales and helping to coordinate local marketing activity as well as managing a successful team.
* Ideally experience as an Assistant Manager overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility or substantial experience as a Fitness Manager or similar operational function.
