Job Introduction
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday.
* Salary: £46,000 to £49,000 depending on experience
* Annual leave: 26 days excluding public holidays
You will drive our Hard FM services, ensuring mechanical and electrical building services are safe, efficient, and sustainable.
What You’ll Do
* Supervise or lead the Hard Services team to ensure safe operation and repair of all M&E services.
* Maintain statutory compliance, update logbooks, use CAFM for PPM evidence, and record remedial actions.
* Act as deputy responsible person for hard services activity, managing risks such as water, electrical, and F‑Gas.
* Coordinate with the Facilities and Workplace Experience Manager to complete campus reactive work orders and PPMs timely, mitigating KPI penalties.
* Control the issue of hard services materials, consumables and equipment.
* Develop relationships with core suppliers and Sodexo support functions to improve service delivery.
* Conduct routine and ad‑hoc audits of planned and reactive works to ensure compliance and quality.

What You Bring
* HND, NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* High level of knowledge of building services systems and technical leadership of the site team.
* Recognised trade in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing.
* Supervisory / management experience of a diverse workforce, including HR responsibilities.
* Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
* Experience in a TFM/IFM environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Experience compiling performance reports and presenting to management.
* Experience with time‑management and payroll applications, including resource planning.
* Extensive experience of hard services and associated regulations.
* Understanding of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
* Experience preparing for internal and external FM audits.
* Confident in building client and stakeholder relationships.
