The Role
We are seeking a proactive HR Advisor to provide day-to-day HR support and guidance across the business, working closely with and supporting the Head of HR. You will play a key role in managing employee relations, advising managers, and ensuring HR processes run smoothly. This is a hands-on role, offering the opportunity to influence and contribute to ongoing HR initiatives and projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head of HR in delivering the HR strategy and business priorities.
* Advise and coach managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practice.
* Manage and support employee relations cases (e.g., disciplinary, grievance, absence).
* Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
* Contribute to HR policy development and implementation.
* Prepare HR reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
* Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
* Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Who you are
You are a skilled HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You have a strong understanding of HR processes and employment law, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels. You are confident advising managers and thrive in a role that combines operational HR with project involvement.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in a similar environment.
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Organised, with strong time-management and problem-solving skills.
* Confident in handling employee relations cases from start to finish.
* Proficient in MS Office and HR systems.
