About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Service Designer to help shape public services that are user-focused, inclusive, and effective. Working at SFIA Level 4/5, you'll be a part of design activities within multidisciplinary teams, using evidence and empathy to improve service experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and improve end-to-end service journeys using user research and design tools.
* Create service blueprints, journey maps, and prototypes.
* Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders across departments.
* Ensure services meet accessibility and GDS standards.
* Work independently within a defined framework, contributing to agile delivery.
Skills and Experience
* Experience in service design, ideally in the public sector.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proficiency with tools like jira, gitlab, or similar.
* Understanding of user-centred design and agile methodologies.
Desirable
* Familiarity with GDS standards and service assessments.
* Experience designing for diverse and vulnerable user groups.
