There are currently vacancies available within the following health board region;

1. Lanarkshire

We’re inviting applications from Registered Nurses (Adult, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities), Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Paramedics to deliver high-quality disability assessments for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

You will deliver assessments with the highest standards of respect, dignity, and clinical professionalism, ensuring a consistent and reliable service for a vulnerable client group. The role involves conducting telephone or video consultations with individuals applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP), assessing a broad range of physical, mental, cognitive, and sensory conditions.

Using empathetic communication and strong critical thinking skills, you will assess the functional impact of the claimant’s condition on their daily living and mobility. Based on the findings, you will prepare a comprehensive, impartial report for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

You will receive up 6- 8 weeks of structured in person and remote training, supported by our dedicated in-house training team. Throughout this period, you will progress through a carefully designed learning pathway that promotes both professional and personal development, enhances your clinical reasoning, critical analysis, assessment, and report-writing skills, and encourages collaborative learning through peer support and mentoring.

Following completion of the initial training programme, you will begin delivering remote telephone assessments from home. We provide ongoing guidance, coaching, and feedback to ensure you feel fully supported in your role.

What we'll need you to bring

2. You must hold a valid NMC or HCPC registration and be educated to diploma or degree level. A minimum of one-year post-registration experience is required, along with strong clinical knowledge covering a broad range of conditions and disabilities.
3. Have an understanding of UK Welfare Legislation and Welfare Reform
4. Have excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
5. Have the ability to work in a sensitive manner with respect to diversity and gender, ethnic, culture and philosophical issues with a wide range of individuals.
6. Have strong time management abilities
7. Have the ability to work effectively under time constraints
8. Have proficient IT and typing skills
9. Have an awareness of audit processes

Contract, Location and Working Pattern

10. Permanent
11. Full time
12. 37 hours Monday-Thursday 09:00-17:00 Friday- 09:00-16:30

This role will be predominantly home-based. A quiet, confidential, and dedicated workspace is essential. You may also be required to attend the Beckford Street base in Hamilton, for training and service requirements, therefore live no longer than 1 hour travel distance from Hamilton.

The post start date is 20th April 2026. Training will commence on this date and run for approximately 6–8 weeks. Please note that annual leave cannot be accommodated during the training period.
