Responsibilities include:
To ensure the production facility is cleaned as per the cleaning schedules held in the WFL Document vault and signed off when duties have been completed.
To ensure consumables such as paper towels, soap, sanitiser and alcohol gel are fully stocked up in the dispensers provided. To conduct checks of chemical dispensers monthly and signing off all relevant paperwork.
To ensure that all safety measures are taken when using equipment such as floor washers and scissor lifts, and that appropriate signage is used to indicate when floors are wet and overhead hazards exist.
To comply with all COSHH instructions which relate to the use of chemicals. E.g. the wearing of protective clothing. Ensuring correct measurements of chemicals are used. To ensure the holding area for chemical (cage area) is locked when not in use.
To ensure PPE is rotated and any heavily soiled PPE is replaced with clean as soon as possible. To ensure all soiled PPE is placed in the correct area for collection at the correct time. To arrange for the removal and replacement of overalls.
To ensure visitors PPE is always clean and available. Ensure laundered PPE is returned to the laundry store and changing area in an organised fashion. Ensure the PPE facilities are kept clean and tidy.
To ensure that all relevant paperwork relating to PPE and cleaning schedules are kept up to date and filed for record purposes.
To actively promote best practice in relation to Hygiene, Health & Safety standards and good housekeeping and support the Company's efforts to minimize its environmental impact and adopt environmental best practice.
To look to identify areas of continuous improvement and communicate ideas to relevant staff. To use tools and techniques such as 5S, root cause.
Stocks and condition of cleaning equipment is maintained and escalated were necessary.
Previous hygiene experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
For all roles, candidates will be expected to demonstrate a good understanding of both verbal and written English. You will also be required to work well in a team, be flexible and have great attention to detail skills.
This role involves working on our 2,2,3 shift (06:00-18:00), 40.25 hours per week.
This is an hourly paid role, paid in monthly instalments.
