About the role
SEND Teaching Assistant (Full-time, Temporary)
Gateshead, NE16
£440 - £460 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)
September 2025 – July 2026
The School and Role
Vision for Education is seeking to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis at a school in Gateshead (NE16) from September 2025. The SEND Teaching Assistant appointed for the role will be working on a timetable set by the school to support a range of SEND pupils, on both a 1:1 and small group basis. Some time may also be spent in the SEND base at school. This is a ‘Good’ Primary School, where all children are given the opportunity to grow and develop at school.
Requirements
The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
