Organisation Manchester City Salary Competitive Location Manchester, UK Contract type Permanent (Full time) Closing date 10 June 2026 Job Description Based in Manchester, this permanent full-time role plays a key part in supporting the delivery and ongoing development of City Football Group’s scouting platform and global scouting operations. You will help ensure scouting data is accurate, consistent and well-governed, while contributing to the optimisation of systems, reporting and insight that support football decision-making across the organisation.

The Role
You will support the administration, quality assurance and ongoing development of the internal CFG scouting platform.
Working closely with scouts and operational stakeholders, you will help maintain high standards of data quality ensuring scouting data remains accurate and consistent.
Alongside database administration and data validation activity, you will contribute to troubleshooting, issue resolution and process improvement initiatives, helping to identify opportunities to improve workflows, reporting and operational efficiency.
You will also write, optimise and document SQL queries for data extraction and transformation, whilst maintaining database integrity.
You will support the delivery of scouting insights by exploring complex scouting datasets and transforming them into clear and effective visualisations that enable better informed decision making.
What You’ll Bring
Experience using SQL, with the ability to write and optimise queries for data extraction and analysis
Proficiency in data visualisation tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
