Client:
Our client is an award-winning Main Contractor that specialise in high end hotel and residential fitout projects. They work collaboratively with their clients to ensure efficient project delivery and minimum disruptions to operations.

The Role:
The Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with the Operational team and will be responsible for the full range of pre to post contract services to maximise commercial success and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
15. Take off quantities for tendering purposes and assist in tender preparations
16. Appointment of subcontractors and labour only subcontractors on designated subcontract conditions
17. Prepare and manage material procurement
18. Oversee measures and report variances
19. Prepare and settle interim claims
20. Prepare supporting documentation for the client and their consultants
21. Produce bill of quantities
22. Identify, measure, and agree variations
23. Cost investigations
24. Prepare and submit weekly financial report to client and client QS
25. Monthly cost/value reconciliations
26. Monitor cash collection
27. Manage several projects at different stages at any one time
28. Provide accounts department with monthly cost/valuation information for costing purposes and quarterly for management accounts within the required time scales
29. Advice to management on contractual matters
30. Measurement and agreement of Project Final Accounts
31. Ensure records and paperwork are accurate and up to date
The Ideal Person:
32. Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
33. Relevant experience in a similar position within the fit out / refurbishment sectors
34. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
35. Excellent IT skills especially Microsoft Office and Excel
36. Proven ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) to build relationships with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders
37. Strong Commercial Awareness and negotiation skills
38. Experience in managing and dealing with contractual issues on standard forms of contract i.e. JCT form of Contract
39. Strong knowledge of contract documents, construction practices and techniques
40. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
41. Ability to work effectively both alone and in a team environment
42. A proactive and flexible working approach with the ability to adapt to changing situations and duties
