As an Independent Advocate, you will support vulnerable adults facing health and social care challenges. Your responsibilities include delivering statutory advocacy services such as IMCA, IMHA, and Care Act Advocacy. You will represent clients verbally and in writing, collaborate with organisations, and take actions to address client issues. Flexibility, excellent communication, and handling sensitive information are essential.
Hours of Work: Full-Time: 37 hours, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
Location: Home-based with travel around Birmingham. Applicants must reside in the area, possess a full driver’s license, and have access to transport.
Salary: Starting at £24,242.40 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Requirements:
* Strong communication and time management skills for remote work
* Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and ability to learn new software
* Attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and reporting
Desirable:
* Experience in advocacy, health, social care, or voluntary sector roles
* Experience working with vulnerable adults
* Knowledge of public and voluntary organisations
