Senior Interior Designer Job in London
A Senior Interior Designer job is now available to join a young and growing high-end residential architecture practice. This is a remote, one year contract that will see the successful designer working fully on one luxury residential projects in SW London, leading all interior design and interior architecture phases. All candidates must be London-based, with all round experience to include procurement.
The practice works across two project types: high-end residential schemes in prime central London (including full architecture, interiors and FF&E), and smaller new-build developments throughout Surrey. They are currently working on a private, 8000 sq ft residential project for which they have been asked to manage the interior design for.
They are looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join them on a one-year contract to work fully on this project including concept development, interior design and interior architecture. The successful designer will be confident liaising directly with HNW individuals, will have a strong track record sourcing art and vintage pieces and will be confident working on all procurement stages.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Working fully on a high-end private residential project
2. Liaising directly with and presenting to the client
3. Working all projects stages from concept development through to FF&E and interior architecture
4. FF&E including sourcing, scheduling and procurement
5. Coordinating consultants and contractors as needed
6. Attending weekly site and client meetings in London.
Required Skills & Experience
7. 8+ years’ experience working on large, luxury residential projects in London. International experience welcome
8. Proven experience working on period/listed building projects
9. Excellent communication and client-facing skills
10. Creative flair and experience developing innovative concepts for residential projects
11. Experience in and a passion for eclectic spaces that balance French chic and super contemporary styles
12. Strong experience sourcing contemporary and vintage pieces and fine art
13. Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely
14. Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and SketchUp
15. London-based and able to meet on site weekly
16. Must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
