Lead Speaker – Chelmsford, Essex + UK Travel (OTE £80,000+) Full‑Time
We are recruiting on behalf of a fast‑scaling entrepreneurial education and live events business that delivers high‑energy programmes, immersive experiences and large‑scale events for ambitious business owners across the UK.
This is a rare opportunity for a commercially‑minded stage professional to join a high‑performance environment where influence, leadership and the ability to sell from stage are critical to success.
We are not looking for a traditional trainer or facilitator. We are looking for somebody who can command a room, inspire action, drive commercial outcomes and deliver exceptional live event experiences with credibility, authority and energy.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑impact sessions across a variety of live business events and programmes
* Lead audiences through engaging, commercially focused event experiences
* Present offers, programme upgrades and commercial opportunities confidently from stage
* Handle live objections and audience interaction with emotional intelligence and authority
* Adapt delivery style based on audience energy, engagement and event objectives
* Work closely with the wider speaker, operations and client services teams
* Contribute to content development, programme evolution and speaker standards
* Support and mentor more junior speakers within the team
* Track and take ownership of conversion performance and event outcomes
What We’re Looking For
* 5–7+ years experience in professional speaking, training, facilitation or live events
* Proven experience selling from stage in a commercial environment
* Strong background in sales, business development or high‑performance sales training
* Comfortable leading rooms of entrepreneurs, business owners and decision makers
* Ability to command audiences ranging from intimate workshops to large‑scale events
* Exceptional communication, energy and stage presence
* Commercially driven with a strong understanding of persuasion and audience psychology
* Highly professional, resilient and performance‑focused
Desirable Experience
* Experience within coaching, training or business education environments
* Knowledge of behavioural psychology, influence or NLP
* Experience leading or mentoring other speakers/trainers
* Familiarity with structured programme delivery and client journey frameworks
This Role Is NOT For
* Trainers who can deliver content but cannot sell from stage
* Candidates from purely corporate L&D or academic backgrounds without commercial exposure
* Individuals who require heavy preparation support or close supervision
* Anyone looking for a slow‑paced or low‑pressure environment
