We are seeking electrical & electronic systems integration engineers to design and deliver integrated systems across various engineering projects.
Key responsibilities:
1. Enable electrical & electronic architectures through successful delivery of integrated systems, including defining system requirements, selecting suitable hardware, defining system behavior, creating design documents, designing in-vehicle networks, researching new technologies, ensuring robust design, developing safety cases, interfacing with clients, leading design activities, and supporting manufacturing.
2. Conduct system commissioning, verification & validation activities, including developing testing plans and troubleshooting.
3. Support business development by providing engineering input into quotations and contributing to departmental strategies.
Who are we looking for?
Essential skills/experience include:
* Automotive or motorsport engineering background with 10+ years of experience
* Degree or equivalent in relevant engineering
* Experience with vehicle architectures and networks, including BEV and HEV
* Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and support junior team members
Specific electrical & electronic systems engineering skills:
* Design, development, and integration of electrical systems
* Requirements specification and validation
* Understanding of CANbus and message definition
* Knowledge of ISO26262 safety standards
* Vehicle prototype interfacing and fault finding
Software tools proficiency:
* Microsoft Office
* CAN analysis tools (e.g., Vector CANalyzer)
* Calibration tools (e.g., Vector CANape, ETAS INCA)
* Electrical system design tools (e.g., MS Visio)
* Diagnostic tools
* Experience with low carbon powertrain systems and electric/hybrid vehicle architectures
* Understanding of hybrid and EV control systems and high voltage standards
* Knowledge of in-vehicle network technologies (LIN, Flexray, Ethernet)
* Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink and E-CAD systems
