Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (Qualified)
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us to work at HMP prisons as part of the multidisciplinary team that offers Mental Health and Wellbeing Services to the population of HMP Norwich, HMP Bure, and HMP Wayland. A very warm welcome awaits you!
We are looking to recruit a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team. Qualified applicants will hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Therapies.
In this role you will work as part of a diverse and supportive team of Psychological Therapists, PWPs, nurses, psychologists, and psychiatrists. You will have the opportunity to continue developing your expertise through training and development opportunities across our service.
THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ACROSS MULTIPLE PRISON SITES; THEREFORE ABILITY TO DRIVE AND TRAVEL INDEPENDENTLY IS ESSENTIAL, AS SOME SITES ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT.
Our service uses an integrated model from arrest to release, allowing the PWP and the wider team to understand the full process and journey of the service user. This collaborative model is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the team, help us build, shape, and grow our service, and share your ideas.
The role will be based across the three prisons.
Our trust values are Positively, Respectfully and Together, and we want someone who lives and breathes these values.
If you have not worked in this setting, we encourage you to contact us before applying so we can arrange an informal visit and allow you to experience the realities of the role. It’s also a great opportunity to meet our team.
NSFT Secure Mental Health Services have consistently been rated "Good" by the CQC. Our secure services are part of a wide and growing body of clinical services operating in a variety of settings linked to criminal justice services. This role is part of the wider NSFT Secure Services Psychology Team, providing excellent clinical supervision alongside professional and governance support.
