Main duties of the job

Job responsibilities
The purpose of this post is to deliver safe, high qualityphlebotomy services to the practice population. Working within your skills,competencies, and professional boundaries, you will provide primary carephlebotomy interventions and ensure safe and effective specimen collection.
* Responsible for providing and delivering primary health careinterventions within the phlebotomy service.
* Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary general practiceteam to promote integrated pathways of care that meet patient needs for thephlebotomy service.
* Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and all members ofthe practice team.
* Prioritise and complete daily work efficiently in line with therequirements of the phlebotomy service.
Person Specification
Experience
* Familiarity with clinical systems (e.g. EMIS, SystmOne)
* Experience of working with a diverse patient population
* Experience working in primary care, GP practice, or community setting
Qualifications
* Relevant phlebotomy qualification or evidence of competence
* Willingness to undertake further training and competency assessments
