About The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Maintenance team based at Stallingborough (UK) Pigment Plant and is offered on a permanent basis working a 9 day fortnight, 38 hour average week.
The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician is responsible for supporting the plants upkeep and maintenance. Main duties include:
1. Maintenance and fault finding on Electrical, Instrumentation and Delta V DCS systems – Such as;
2. Maintained knowledge and expertise in instrumentation process variables, such as Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow, Density, pH, conductivity, turbidity and Analysis.
MCC cubicles and Motor manager configuration.
Overhaul and testing of various control valves, actuators, regulators and positioners, such as metso
Proof testing of ESD systems
Configure, calibrate and troubleshoot with SMART instruments using Beamex, TREX and HART communicator.
3. Fixed Plant inspections and maintenance
4. Complete work orders and appropriate reporting to a high standard to ensure accurate and detailed information is entered into Tronox’s Systems
5. Statutory testing and inspections including calibration data entry
6. Installing and commissioning modifications and design changes to control, instrument and electrical equipment in accordance with standards.
7. Utilising SAP to obtain parts and complete documentation/reports as required.
8. Participation in team projects and sharing continuous improvement ideas that may enhance maintenance, safety, process and cost reduction.
9. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and workmanship.
About you
To be successful in your application you will ideally need to possess:
10. Externally accredited qualifications at Engineering Craft/Technician level, ; NVQ3 Modern Apprenticeship/ C&G Apprenticeship/ONC/HNC Electrical / Instrument Engineering
11. Capable of reading and working to engineering drawings and specifications
12. Ideally should have some chemical or continuous process appreciation or experience
13. Experience of working with SAP or similar maintenance workflow process
14. Computer literate and be able to work with Microsoft Office etc
15. Hazardous area certification (desirable)
16. Good Communication skills;
17. Good Problem-solving skills;
18. Good Team-Working skills
