Main Purpose
To maintain the office premises to a high standard of cleanliness; required to clean all rooms, including Tea points, offices, toilets, client areas, staircases, and all other areas in use.
Duties & Responsibilities
* To be responsible for cleaning designated areas of the site, as allocated by the supervisor, which may vary based on business needs.
* To use cleaning materials as instructed by the Supervisor.
* To operate cleaning machinery for cleaning soft and hard surfaces, e.g., vacuum cleaners & scrubber driers.
* To maintain confidentiality regarding office-related matters and prevent disclosure of sensitive information.
* Vacuum cleaning of floors, both hard and soft.
* Spot cleaning of spillages.
* Cleaning furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors, door glass, windowsills, skirtings, radiators, walls, and other surfaces within the allocated area.
* Emptying and cleaning waste and recycling bins.
* Cleaning toilets, including sanitary fittings and surrounds.
* Mopping, scrubber drying of hard floor surfaces.
* Replenishing supplies in toilets and kitchens.
* Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work, and locking doors.
* Undertaking any additional cleaning duties as directed by the Site Supervisor or Soft Services Area Supervisor.
* Reporting any defects or hazards immediately to the Supervisor.
* Following all Health & Safety procedures in accordance with company policies.
Skills & Knowledge
* BICSc certification to an appropriate level (preferred but not essential; full training will be provided).
* Experience in a cleaning environment (preferred but not essential; full training will be provided).
