Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (standard)
*Hey Biomedical Scientists!
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our Haematology & Blood Transfusion team at Barnet Hospital has become available following acquisition of a new contract with East and North Herts (E&NH) catchment GPs.
The laboratory at Barnet provides 24/7 Haematology and Blood Transfusion testing for acute and urgent care areas of the hospital as well as some onsite testing for the local community. The successful candidate will join our team of dedicated biomedical scientists and associate practitioners in delivering a high-quality pathology service.
The ideal candidate will be committed to service excellence and have a genuine desire for continued personal and professional development. Candidates should have a suitable approved undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science (or equivalent) and be registered with the HCPC.
Previous laboratory experience would be helpful, however, full training will be provided for all work performed.
The laboratory operates a 24/7 service so the successful candidate will be expected to participate in shifts to cover this timeframe though it is expected that that the balance of hours worked will be required to coincide with when the E&NH GP workload arrives into the department during weekday afternoon/early evenings.
